CAPTURING THE INVISIBLE.

In the middle of the night, back in July 2017, South of France, 5 AM.

After a one-to-one ritual of Ayahuasca through the night in nature, under the starry sky of South of France, I asked my Shaman if he would let me take his picture.

He replied: "Well - if you want, but nobody ever was capable to do a picture of me, I was happy with.”

Of course, that put some pressure on me. He was not only a Shaman, capable to feel authenticity and truth, but he was sceptical regarding the result on top.

However, I just looked at him and trusted my intuition to be led to that moment exposing his real self - and catch it.

I followed him through the camera viewfinder for some seconds - then I got an impulse - and pressed the shutter!

I look at the picture and get this special feeling straight away that I caught the right moment.

After developing, I sent it to him.

He answered: “It’s me. You’ve captured me!"

KIKI DE LEYSIN.

Elegantly groomed, she sat there in this empty, almost shabby pub on a Monday evening.

Evening light shone through the window onto her delicate fingers wrapped around this cold beer.

She looked at me.. the face of a beautiful woman. It was clear: In her youth, she must have been a stunning looking girl.

Her name is Kiki. A parisian woman who ended up in a little Swiss Village in the mountains, called Leysin, many decades ago.
She must have had an exciting parcours and life.

Some days after this encounter, we were told that Kiki is a legend in this village.

She has been a foster parent for many orphants. Apparently everybody knows Kiki in Leysin.
You do not even need her post address to write her a letter. Just her nickname and the name of the village will do as followed: à Kiki de Leyin.
