ABOUT
Aurélia Marine is a photographer and artist with an instinctive sensitivity for places, moments and atmospheres that elude the ordinary eye. Born in Paris to a French television director and a Eurasian painter, and raised in Switzerland, she grew up at the intersection of artistic worlds and cultural perspectives. Her creative journey took an unexpected turn in 2011, when she found a camera on the streets of Soho in New York — a moment that revealed the medium through which her vision could take form. From then on, she devoted herself fully to photography and filmmaking. In 2012, she moved to London, where her artistic language began to sharpen with clarity and intention.
Over five formative years in London, she developed the visual signature that defines her work today. Three subsequent years on Ibiza immersed her in the island’s bohemian spirit, where she explored alternative ways of living and encountered experimental, multisensory art forms that expanded her understanding of perception, presence and experience. The island became a profound creative resonance space that shifted her relationship to art, space and consciousness.
Today, she weaves these influences — her multicultural background and her life between major cities and island worlds — into new, independent works. She creates and curates immersive installations designed to evoke emotional resonance through the interplay of the senses. In both her photography and multisensorial works, perception, space and emotion converge into poetic, transformative realms of experience.
Her work has been exhibited in Switzerland, Germany, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Ibiza.
