ABOUT
Aurélia Marine was born in Paris and raised in Switzerland.
Her journey began on a sunny day in 2011, when she came across a camera on the streets of New York. Since then, she has devoted herself entirely to photography and filmmaking. In 2012, she moved to London, where her career took a significant leap forward.
Her work is predominantly abstract, rendered in black and white, and evokes the atmosphere of the film noir era. Her photographs possess a timeless quality, capturing the essence of a bygone cinematic age. Today, she is an accomplished photographer and visual artist.
In addition, she works as a casting director for feature films and commercials, having selected and cast actors for renowned directors such as Paolo Sorrentino and Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
Her exhibitions have been shown in Switzerland, London, Tokyo, and Los Angeles.
She is currently working on a feature-length docu-fiction entitled ANOTHER HUMAN, a compelling odyssey where documentary realism merges with artistic abstraction. A film about the journey back to our true nature, in times when overconsumption consumes us, and stillness becomes an act of rebellion. Aurélia continues her tireless exploration of visual storytelling.
Aurélia Marine has had exhibitions in Switzerland, London, Tokyo, Germany, Ibiza and Los Angeles and still digs deep to explore the language of visuals.
