Aurélia Marine is a French-Swiss photographer, filmmaker, and interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of image, atmosphere, and immersive perception. Born in Paris and raised in Switzerland, she grew up close to the world of cinema and visual arts, which early on shaped her sensitivity for storytelling and atmosphere.

Her artistic path shifted decisively in 2011, when she found a camera on the streets of Soho in New York - an unexpected encounter that revealed photography as her primary language. From that moment onward, she devoted herself to photography and filmmaking. In 2012, she moved to London, where she spent five formative years refining her visual signature and developing a cinematic approach to portraiture and atmosphere-driven imagery.

She later lived and worked on Ibiza for three years, where her practice expanded through the island’s experimental art scene and alternative cultural landscape. This period marked the beginning of her exploration into multisensory and immersive formats, deepening her interest in presence, perception, and embodied experience.

Since then, her work has moved from the single image into space. In her installations, photography and moving image meet sound, light, and materiality — environments composed to be felt rather than explained. Sound has long guided her creative process, an intuitive layer now further deepened through ongoing studies in music and sound curation. This spatial work unfolds through ÆTHER Experience, creating perceptual environments that operate quietly and resonate deeply. Recent installations include re:Human × orphic Morphosis (photoSCHWEIZ 2026); In Between Thoughts, as Aurélia Marine for House of Interiors with Iria Degen, for Vitra × Création Baumann × Blumenhalle (Design Weeks Zürich 2025); and VIBRATION (IBICENCO, Ibiza 2022).

Today, her work bridges photography, film, and immersive installation, shaped by a continuous artistic research into space, emotion, and transformation. She has exhibited her work internationally, including in Switzerland, Germany, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Ibiza.

Her latest mini-feature film, MARGAM (30’), received international festival recognition, including two nominations and one award at the Sunlight International Film Festival (Berlin), as well as semi-finalist placements at the Toronto International Independent Film Festival, alongside additional official selections.
