Multisensory, experimental installation

re:Human × orphic Morphosis

Where moving image, ambisonic sound, and spatial intelligence converge — allowing space to unfold into regeneration and expanded awareness.

‘re:Human × orphic Morphosis’ is a multisensory, experimental installation by Aurélia Marine in collaboration with Pier and Dorine Rubesa. Conceived as both artwork and open-ended inquiry, the work understands art as an operative field for societal, systemic, and collective transformation rather than as a mere object of contemplation.

At the intersection of visual poetics and sonic architecture, the installation entwines photo-motion imagery with neural sound modulation. This pioneering experience investigates how the human brain reshapes its perception of imagery when exposed to precisely tuned neural sound frequencies. Images are no longer passively observed; they become dynamically reinterpreted through the body’s own neural resonance.

Grounded in neuroscience and circadian rhythm research, the installation activates neural pathways associated with resilience, stress regulation, and perceptual harmony. The result is a live, multi-sensory encounter where sound and image merge into a fluid dialogue between emotion, cognition, and spatial awareness.

Mood — re:Human × orphic Morphosis

The one-hour neural sound composition begins with a one-minute dissonance sequence and unfolds in four movements; each rooted in a specific domain of neural oscillation of 15 mins. Movement I establishes the theta wave foundation, evoking introspection and deep relaxation. Movement II builds upon alpha wave patterns, cultivating tranquil attentiveness and meditative flow. Movement III, guided by beta wave structures, introduces rhythmic complexity that activates concentration and alertness, leading to Movement IV and its gamma wave resonance, a state of heightened coherence, integration, and expanded consciousness.

More than an artistic installation, this project represents a convergence of art, science, and well-being — an invitation to experience how we can refine and re-define the boundaries of sensory interpretation, transforming not only what we see but how we feel, connect, and inhabit the present moment.

Rather than producing meaning, the installation creates conditions for subtle transformation — a shift from overstimulation toward coherence, and from linear time toward embodied awareness.

The installation’s full experience unfolds over a 60′ cycle, beginning at the top of each hour. Entry is possible at any time, allowing visitors to engage with the perceptual shift at their own pace.

Sound, film & concept
Mission / Vision
To investigate shifts in perception and presence within a technologically accelerated and acoustically saturated present, and to explore how immersive, sound-based environments can operate as epistemic tools beyond narrative or representational logics.
Key decisions in creation (intentional exclusions)
No narrative structure, no spectacle, no representational visuals, no intentional dramaturgy.
Ingredients
Spatial sound composition, low-frequency vibrations, phase modulation, contemplative visual elements.
Perceptual outcome
A suspension of linear temporality and a heightened state of attentiveness, enabling subtle perceptual recalibration rather than expressive transformation.
Learnings | transferability
Establishes immersive sound as a case study in media art: transferable to research and curatorial settings, scalable into regenerative spaces in the public realm.
Structure
A one-hour neural sound composition. One minute of dissonance, then four movements of 15 minutes — theta, alpha, beta, gamma. A 60′ cycle beginning at the top of each hour; entry at any time.
Support
Kind support of Yamaha Schweiz.

In Between Thoughts

Aurélia Marine for House of Interiors, in collaboration with Iria Degen·Vitra × Création Baumann × Blumenhalle · Design Weeks Zürich 2025

A curated installation between design and contemplative art — a place of quiet rituals, mindful transitions and inner expansion.

A conscious antithesis to the acceleration of our time. A decelerating atmosphere unfolds over 150 square metres: breathing textiles, botanical compositions, delicate plays of light in green spheres, fragrant nuances and a gentle soundscape.

Wood chips and carpets form the floor, while subtle sound design and a gentle breeze waft through the room. An invitation to inner contemplation — a moment between two thoughts.

Created in collaboration with Vitra, Création Baumann and Blumenhalle. The spotlight is on the new Slow Sofa by Vitra, launched on 4 September 2025 for the opening of Zurich Design Weeks.

VIBRATION

14–25 July 2022 · Sa Rota Vella, San Mateo, Ibiza·«IBICENCO» VII edition, «Existence» · Curators: MONDO GALERIA, Madrid — Alexeja & Diego Alonso

An artistic representation of vibration — of sound, light and movement within a living metabolism: Water.

Metaphysically, water holds vibrations completely and for sustained time frames. The element of water represents the recurring pattern of our complex feelings. Many of these components can 'flood' us; too little can 'dry' us up. Keeping a feeling of balance is significant.

This artwork represents the significance of vibration and consciousness of water. Water carries memory and energy — it is the essence of our existence. A reminder to stay fluid within the movement of life.

The installation draws on ancient human knowledge that understood ocean life as deeply interconnected with human perception. Sound — once a natural technology of orientation, communication, and deep-sea interaction — becomes the central medium, reactivating ancestral ways of sensing the ocean as a living, intelligent system.
